About Kate Keefe

On the personal side Kate has a broad experience of being a woman leader whilst bringing up a family and supporting a mother and mother-in-law with dementia. So, Kate embraces the joys, successes, and failures that all leaders face and she brings this experience to her work in coaching. Her marriage to a senior leader in the construction industry and her friendship with the senior partner of a leading architectural firm has given her insights and work as a coach within this sector.

She was born into a family where her siblings all became high performing leaders as well as being contemplative in their approach to life. Practices of silence, meditation, religion, spirituality and contemplation have been part of Kate’s life since early childhood. She grew up in a multi-racial, multi-lingual city so her work has been influenced by the diverse cultures and spiritualties she has engaged with and continues to motivate her now.

Kate has an informed, warm, and kind personality. She is wise, intelligent, well-educated, not primarily an academic but intellectually informed. She describes herself –

I’m a supporter and an advocate of people, with a healthy measure of pragmatism and good sense of humour in the mix. I am courageous in my life, not always on my own, but with supportive team players around me. Becoming a mother taught me much about leadership and the challenges parents who are leaders face in the workplace.

Experience

Kate has coached nationally and internationally with leaders and organisations and communities.

Her clients have ranged from woman senior leaders in small to global companies, leaders in universities and schools, parents of young neuro-verse adults and university students.
