Compassionate conversations

The practice of specific awareness and training in Compassionate Conversations has developed due to Executive Coaching or Counselling simply not meeting the needs of many situations adults now face and it being a more time efficient and financially affordable. It can address the outdated communication styles that are no longer appropriate or effective in today’s world and organisations wanting to develop into a positive workplace culture for employees and undertake their duty of care to the employee.

Compassionate Conversations is listening in a non-judgement space where there are no goals being set, no advice given, no change to be managed nor goals achieved. It is just a space to be heard for those who are or who have faced significant life challenges or trauma where it can be invaluable - but also valuable as a process for staff ‘off-loading’ the stress of the day or a challenge they are holding onto. The space can be an organised time or just a method of interacting with colleagues or friends or family.

Kate offers compassionate conversations on a one-to-one basis and to groups. She also trains individuals or those in a business or workplace to undertake compassionate conversations. The course offers a simple explanation of what the word compassion means, how to listen and hold a space, practices for developing compassion in yourself and others. The course also provides for those who wish material on the neurobiology of compassion - or how emotions rise and can be regulated.
